Nora!!

Thursday, April 24th Nora Baker was born. She was born two weeks early weighing only 4 pounds 7 ounces. I wanted to make her a little hat to keep her warm.....I already had a pattern for a newborn hat, so I just went down a hook size and whipped up this adorable little hat! I can't wait to go see her and give it to her!

It's a tiny hat, but I know she will soon outgrow it!!!!!

I'm looking forward to watching Nora grow up into a sweet little girl!!

I'm also in the midst of making some things to put in my Etsy shop! So many things to make...the days just aren't long enough!! :)

Not So Wordless Wednesday =)

I have always liked looking at the "Wordless Wednesday" posts on blogs that I follow, but whenever I think "I'm going to do one of those", the pictures always need words to go along with them.  So I decided to instead of trying to make up a post that I could do without words, I would just to do a "Not So Wordless Wednesday" post. I've seen them before, so I won't be the only one that isn't able to post without words! ;)

Photo
The days when Malcolm comes over are the best!! I took the opportunity of getting some pictures with him while babysitting him recently!! I love his little smile in this one!! :)

Photo
I LOVE the time when he gets a serious face and snuggles with me!! I will miss these when he gets to the age where snuggles are no longer in the picture!! :(

Photo
On this particular visit he found our unopened jug of apple juice along side the refrigerator. The first time he found it, I had to go and get him because it was time to eat lunch; but later that afternoon he found it again and had a couple minutes of fun entertainment with it! So, of course, I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple of cute photos of him having fun!! :)

Love it!!!!

Just having fun with a jug of juice!! ;)

I was attempting to get a cute picture of my mom with Malcolm. In the midst of trying to get Malcolm to smile, he did this. And since this was the only picture I got, I wanted to post it. It is rather cute I think! :)
I am so glad that Malcolm and his parents go to our church so we are able to see him two to three times every week! We miss our little Malcy when he leaves our house, but we look forward to the next time he comes!! ;)

Baby Gifts.

In February we had a birthday party for a sweet little boy at our church, Wesley. For his birthday I wasn't sure what to make at first but decided to go with a stuffed animal. A stuffed animal can't be too hard right?? The only problem is when you find an Etsy shop with tons of cute patterns....which one do you pick??? After lots of looking and thinking, I decided to go ahead and make this adorable dolphin!! I was pretty happy with the result, so here are some pictures! :)

I thought he was a pretty cute little guy. =)

Now we'll move on to the next project....
We had a missionary couple that was going to be stopping by our church, and they are due to have a baby boy in just a few weeks. I really wanted to make them something for their sweet little one soon to arrive, but again.....I didn't know what to get going on my hooks. After some more thinking I decided to whip up a little turtle. :) I'm so glad it worked and hope that the finished product will be greatly enjoyed by the baby when he gets here!!

I was very happy with how he turned out!!

I like his little smile. =)

And since we had our little buddy over the day we were taking pictures, why not snap one of him with the turtle?? I love how this one turned out...looking down at the turtle with his sweet little hands on its back. What could be cuter???? ;)

I'll be posting some more soon! I have tons of posts in mind that I'd like to do, so be sure and come back for a visit!! ;) Happy Tuesday!!

Family.

For this post I just wanted to share some family pictures that I have. I really haven't ever posted on my family, so I though now is as good a time as ever to get it done. :) When Abby was down we went to a lake to walk around, and she took a family picture there. Then we had some individual ones that we took as well.

2014 BBC Youth Rally.

March brought on lots of Bible verse memorization, prep for the youth rally, and lots more. The youth rally at our church is honestly one of the best times ever. There is so much fellowship, games, talking, making friends, and most importantly lots of preaching!! This year our guest preacher was Bro. Travis Alltop. He's from Danville, Kentucky. He is one the best preachers you will ever hear!! And he also is a very good singer! I love his CDs!!!

Saturday morning we started off by getting our t-shirts, saying verses, and talking!

The theme this year was "A Firm Foundation". Our only sure foundation in life, that will last forever, is Jesus Christ! He is sure to help you and save you if you will only put your trust in Him.

Dougie always does such a great job on Bible Trivia! Thankful for a brother that knows his Bible!

Where do I start??

I think the title is appropriate for this post. :) We've had so much going on I haven't had time for blogging. :/ I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things for this blog! For now we need to go back a couple of weeks to Abby's visit..............

We always look forward, months ahead of time, to Abby's coming down. It is one of the best times of the year! Days filled with lots of talking, laughing, pictures being taken, and much more! There really isn't time to tell details and details of things we did, so mostly I will leave the pictures to do the talking, with some words here and there. :)

Love this picture of my mom and Abby!!!

The day at Winter Park was one of the most fun times!!

After Abby left town my grandpa came! We had such a wonderful time, and I miss him a lot. We were so very busy that week getting ready for the youth rally at church and everything with my grandpa, so I didn't get a chance to snap a lot of pictures. Most of the ones that we did get are phone pictures, but pictures nonetheless. :) For now I'll just post the two that I have on the computer.
